Familiar with RainCastle’s work for several other clients, GelSight sought RainCastle’s help in creating a new website, corporate identity system and visual brand identity, including collateral, event graphics, advertising and PowerPoint.
Using GelSight’s hardware and software solutions, clients are presented with precise 3-D renderings and metrics related to the surfaces of objects. We took this as a launching point for a logo exploration that yielded a dimensional graphical mark that suggests the surface texture of an object. It also suggests a fingerprint, which supports the idea of tactile sensing. The website and marketing materials are highly visual and representative of the type of 3-D imagery the toolset provides.
