From across the country, EpiBiome came to RainCastle, based on our experience working with life sciences companies. Their goals were common with that of other life sciences companies — to create a website that would be compelling to investors, improve the recruiting of scientists and have the ability to maintain the website and easily make updates. And in addition to this, EpiBiome asked us to build an eCommerce function for the website to inaugurate their new Bacterial Profiling business, called EpiPhany™.

RainCastle enjoyed a successful collaboration with the leadership and scientific team from EpiBiome, a San Francisco-based, microbiome engineering company examining bacterial populations and developing therapies to combat infectious diseases in humans and in agriculture without the use of antibiotics.
Working closely with the EpiBiome team, we established parallel efforts for the public-facing website and the eCommerce area. For the eCommerce area we created a set of wireframes, in which we mapped the customer workflow. Once approved by EpiBiome, we then created the fully designed visual page templates for the website pages representing the sequence of steps in the buying process. Building the site in the WordPress content management system gave us the flexibility to continuously scale the site with more content and provide a platform that will be easy for EpiBiome to update.
