RainCastle has worked closely with the Betsy Lehman Center (BLC), a state government agency that brings health care providers, policymakers and consumers together to work towards safer healthcare in Massachusetts.
Our task was, and continues to be, to build a cohesive visual brand to make BLC’s communications effective, engaging and results oriented.
Beginning with a new take on the state seal logo, combined with bold, all caps typography, and a clean, simple color palette, we gave the logo a modern facelift that anchored the visual brand.
At the same time we built a responsive website, we created a unique, visual, online tool that will make it easier for Massachusetts health care providers — from hospitals to long-term care facilities — to understand, communicate about and report adverse events in patient care.
Additionally, we created a comprehensive infographic representing how adverse events happen and can be avoided in cataract surgery and an accompanying illustrated report, which was distributed to health care providers and policymakers.
Seeking to simplify the methodical process of adverse event analysis and reporting, we then created a three-minute animated video to educate BLC’s audience.
To round out the visual brand, we created easily maintainable templates for a monthly newsletter, emails, stationery and other collateral.
